Whole30: Where Do I Start?

Alright. You’re ready to do your first Whole30, but you have no idea where to start. Good news – I got you!

First, the Whole30 website is a wealth of knowledge and you can browse through and download all kinds of information – for free! Here are a few of my favorite links for quick reference:

Second, if you’re more of a book-in-hand kind of person AND you want some delicious recipes, this book is for you. It explains the program rules, answers frequently asked questions, and has 150 simple (<– key word) Whole30 compliant recipes.

Third, preparation is KEY. To me, this means having plenty of Whole30 compliant snacks on hand for those emergency moments when you’re borderline hangry. It means preparing meals in advance so you don’t have to think twice about what to eat during the week. And it means looking at your calendar and being proactive with how you’ll handle events and other plans that you have scheduled for the month.  I can’t stress this one enough. If you fail to prepare – then prepare to fail. Tough love? Maybe. But, it’s true! (Also, check out this previous post:  3 Tips for Whole30 Success.)

Last, but not least – enjoy the ride. I’m sure the road to get to this decision was a long and winding one. Remember ‘why’ you decided to do Whole30 in the first place and always keep your ‘why’ at the forefront of your mind. This will help you get through the toughest days. You can do hard things. Promise. xx
