Is it just me or did we just fly through February? Without any pomp and circumstance, here are the things I’m lovin’ this month:
The Peloton Bike. This comes as no surprise to me whatsoever. I am naturally motivated and a self-starter, so I knew if we invested in this piece of equipment it would get USED and not sit around collecting dust (or laundry). In just six weeks, it has become a weekly staple in my exercise routine. I’m a big believer in the impact of small pockets of time, so I’m digging the 15-20 minute cycling classes and then pairing them with a little bit of strength training or yoga either right afterwards or later on in the day – all available on the Peloton app as well!
Living in a colder climate, it’s not always feasible to get outside for a walk or run AND let’s be honest…sometimes it’s so cold you don’t even want to leave the house. With the Peloton, I can literally roll out of bed and head downstairs to get a workout in; making my time extremely efficient and effective. It cuts down on travel time to/from the gym and is basically available and ready 24-hours a day – anytime I please!

Duolingo. This is a language learning app that makes learning SO MUCH FUN. I have been a user since 2015 – dabbling in both Spanish and French with Spanish being my main focus currently (on a 234-day streak at the time of this writing!). The app was created and designed by language experts and helps you prepare for real conversations in more than 35 languages. The game-like lessons, sense of community, and ability to track your progress all make it stand out from other learning modalities AND did I mention it’s free?! I got consistent with the daily lessons 234 days ago in anticipation of Honeymooning in Cabo San Lucas. When we arrived in Mexico, I was easily able to have light conversation with the resort staff, order food and drinks, and ask for simple directions. I was impressed with how much I had learned and retained in such a short amount of time. I’m glad I continued my daily Spanish lessons after our trip because we’re going back again this year! I’m so excited to practice my Spanish again with real conversations and an even more expanded vocabulary! Me gusta mucho Duolingo!
Philosophie Sunshine Drops. These drops allow you to weave a little love and self care into your daily routine. If you follow me on social media, you’ve probably seen me add a few droppers of this magical elixir to my water glass. The Sunshine Drops are made of Chlorophyll + Mint. Besides making an ordinary glass of water feel decadent, they also have these possible benefits:
- Supports adrenal gland function
- Helps keep complexion clear and glowing
- Supports immune system by reducing inflammation and boosting red blood cell production
- Great for digestion
- Stimulates detoxification and encourages gut health
- Acts as an internal deodorant
- Incredible source of energy
I add two full droppers to 24oz of water once every day!
This playlist. Curated from the team at The Class, this playlist has been playing nonstop in my speakers and AirPods. It features all Black artists in celebration of Black History Month and is both recharging and life-giving. Go give it a listen!
