Gluten-free doesn’t have to mean zero flavor and I think these chocolate covered Valentine’s Day Oreos are proof!
What you’ll need:
- 1 package gluten free Oreos (I prefer the regular “stuff” size when making these)
- 1 bag gluten free white chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1 jar gluten free Valentine themed sprinkles (I found these on Amazon)
*NOTE: This makes about 15 chocolate covered Oreos; if you want to utilize the entire bag of Oreos: double the chocolate, coconut oil, and sprinkles in the recipe above.
Step 1. Pour white chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl. Add coconut oil. Microwave in 30 second intervals until chocolate is completely melted (stirring in between 30 second intervals).
Step 2. Pour sprinkles into a separate bowl for dipping and sprinkling.
Step 3. Dip an Oreo into the warm white chocolate – cover completely. Transfer the covered Oreo into the sprinkles dish – cover with sprinkles until satisfied. Transfer Oreo to a parchment covered sheet pan.
Step 4. Once all Oreos have been covered and are resting on pan, transfer pan to the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes (until chocolate has hardened).
Step 5. ENJOY!
Besides being unbelievably easy to make, this treat is also cost effective. For the price of three of these in a specialty shop, you can make a whole batch yourself and turn it into a fun experience for the whole family! Hope you enjoy them as much as we did!!
